Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissues of the body (muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, joints), is often complemented with remedial exercise and hydrotherapy, and has been proven to help aid in the treatment and prevention of a multitude of conditions. Massage therapy optimizes health and wellness by having a therapeutic effect on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems of the body.

Cupping
Cupping Massage is where silicone, plastic or glass cups are placed on the body and either left in one spot for a period of time, or is glided along the area of the body. With cupping, I am able to affect deeper tissue, increase range of motion, and remove fascial restrictions. Modern cups that are made of silicone or plastic and use a mechanical suction device to allow for the suction, are used in my clinic.

Massage Therapy for Children with Autism
QST Massage is a touch-based massage treatment protocol for children with autism that aims at restoring touch and addressing sensory pathways.
The massage uses percussive techniques (similar to patting) on the full body, over the clothes, and without the use of any lotion. It is a sequence of 12 different movements that are done in a specific order. These techniques will be modified in areas that are more sensitive. Using these techniques can result in the decrease of sensory, sleep and digestive issues.
In order to optimize the benefits of the treatment, family members are highly encouraged to give their child the massage daily at home.
Please note: Requests for Massage Therapy for children with ASD will have to be discussed on a case by case basis with Kelly. During the current pandemic, it is required that all clients wear a mask for the entirety of their appointment, including children. If your child is unable to do so, an appointment will be unable to be booked at this time.
